Is there any chance you would know what wire is the "always live feed" to the PCM , or where it's fed from on a 03 Dakota 3.9l ? I started with replacing the fuel pump then checked all the sensors then replaced the PCM just to find out it's supposed to have a hot wire, and well it doesn't so I believe that it's shorted out but idk witch one it is or well witch one feeds it I found a wire that jumps 1-12v but I'm not sure if I could just run a jumper wire, I don't want to burn up a new PCM ... Could you please help

Hello I'm new to this forum. I joined today :). I was surfing the web for answer on my Dakota misfire and came across an old post that you answered in great detail and seemed to be the answer I was looking for. I was wondering if changing the timeing chain on my 97 v6 could be done over a weekend by myself. I know the basics of a motor but never worked on a project of this kind before. I learn very fast and have always been told since I was young that I'm very mechanically inclined. I enjoy working on trucks and cars but like I said never been real in-depth with a big motor. Mostly dirt bikes and four wheelers
Thanks for any information you can give me
